Broadpeak has announced the launch of Click2Cart, the latest evolution of its Click2 interactive advertising solution. The new feature allows viewers to add products directly to an online shopping cart with a single click on the TV remote while an advertisement is playing on streaming services.
The solution brings connected TV (CTV) and e-commerce closer together, creating more intuitive purchasing journeys while offering new performance-based advertising capabilities for broadcasters, streaming platforms and advertisers.
Click2Cart expands the existing capabilities of Click2, a platform that allows viewers to interact with advertisements and initiate purchasing processes while watching video content. With the new direct-to-cart functionality, the experience goes beyond notifications and redirects, placing consumers just one click away from completing a purchase.
The solution was developed to enable streaming platforms and operators to offer digital commerce experiences directly within the television environment, reducing the number of steps in the purchasing process and creating a more efficient connection between advertising exposure and measurable sales.
As performance-driven advertising gains importance in the connected TV market, advertisers are looking for measurement and commerce capabilities similar to those available on major digital platforms. According to Broadpeak, advanced integrated shopping features remain concentrated within a limited number of proprietary digital ecosystems.
Click2Cart was created to overcome this limitation by providing a universal performance-based advertising framework that integrates with existing streaming workflows and connects transparently to third-party retail platforms.
“Retail media and shoppable TV are two of the fastest-growing segments in today’s advertising landscape,” said Paul Erickson, principal analyst for media and entertainment at Omdia. “The potential of interactive CTV advertising for brands and publishers has historically been limited by challenges related to user experience and measurement capabilities. Better integration, experience and metrics are shared interests among advertisers, platforms and consumers.”
For broadcasters, streaming platforms and operators, the new solution creates a new category of premium, performance-driven advertising inventory, attracting new advertisers and generating additional revenue opportunities linked to the continued growth of e-commerce.
For brands, retailers and retail media networks, Click2Cart significantly shortens the purchasing journey by creating a direct path from advertisement to product acquisition. It also provides detailed engagement and conversion metrics, bringing performance marketing measurement capabilities to the connected TV environment.
For consumers, the experience is designed to eliminate steps and friction. Instead of interrupting programming to scan QR codes or search for products on other devices, viewers can add an item to their cart using only the television remote. According to Broadpeak, this model is particularly suited to fast-moving consumer goods, where reducing purchasing barriers can significantly improve conversion rates.
“For a long time, delivering true integrated shopping and performance-based advertising capabilities was viable only for a small group of major digital platforms,” said Jacques Le Mancq, president and CEO of Broadpeak. “We are giving streaming companies and broadcasters the tools they need to compete on an equal footing in the results-driven advertising market. The industry has been looking for a better way to connect advertisers, retailers and streaming platforms without compromising the user experience. Click2Cart makes shoppable TV a scalable reality, and we look forward to working with retail customers and partners on this next stage.”
Click2Cart integrates with existing advertising workflows across streaming platforms and retail ecosystems, supporting pre-roll, mid-roll and non-linear formats, including L-Banner advertisements.
The solution also introduces new engagement and conversion measurement mechanisms, allowing advertisers to track performance indicators throughout the purchasing journey.
When combined with Spot2Spot, designed for spot-level ad replacement, and BannersIn2, dedicated to the insertion of non-linear formats, Click2Cart expands monetization and advertising inventory opportunities for more than 150 telecommunications operators worldwide that use Broadpeak technologies.
The company will hold the first public demonstration of Click2Cart during IBC2026, taking place from September 11 to 14 in Amsterdam.
